Welcome to Wihega Resort

on Beautiful Little Spider Lake!

"Scenic Views, Clean Water, Fresh Air, Relaxation, Nature & Wildlife"

A Fishermen & Family Paradise!
Other destinations may beckon, but few can beat the classic family summer vacation in the "Northwoods".  At Wihega Resort we offer an excellent opportunity where "Up North at the Lake" can still be found!  For three generations it has been a repeat vacation destination for families and fishermen alike.  Little Spider Lake is both a full recreational and a trophy fishing lake for Musky, Walleye, Northern Pike, Bass and panfish.  Surrounded by the beautiful Northern Highland American Legion State Forest in Vilas County.  Its quiet and unspoiled with an abundance of wildlife, especially beautiful in the spring and fall.   Escape for a fishing trip, a weekend getaway stay, or a group event where lots of space and plenty of sleeping accommodations are needed.  Pride of ownership is evident in the cleanliness of the cabins and grounds.

Relax and soak up the sun and enjoy our 400' of groomed sandy lakefront with its gradual water depth, its perfect for swimming.  You will be amazed at the scenery and wildlife you can experience by taking a canoe ride or hiking and biking through the miles of state forest trails.  We offer rentals of fishing boats with motors and a pontoon boat, available for daily or weekly rentals from our fleet of well maintained boats.   We also offer paddle boats and a canoe, at no extra charge to our customers.

A wide variety of activities are available nearby for guests of every age and interest. Only minutes away is the large tourism area of Minocqua/Woodruff and the quaint scenic towns of Boulder Junction, Lake Tomahawk, Saint Germain, and Eagle River.   Annual festivals, water ski shows, amusement parks, horseback riding trails, logging competitions, unique shopping and dining experiences and a popular casino are some other activities you can experience.  For the golf enthusiasts, there are several championship golf courses that are open to the public nearby as well.

If you've never experienced the beauty of the Northwoods and are considering it for your next vacation, or if you have and are looking to visit again, we hope you will give us a try!
