Welcome to Wihega Resort

on Beautiful Little Spider Lake!

"Scenic Views, Clean Water, Fresh Air, Relaxation, Nature & Wildlife"

A Fishermen & Family Paradise!
Other destinations may beckon, but few can beat the classic summer family vacation in the "Northwoods".  Wihega Resort offers an excellent opportunity where "Up North at the Lake" can still be found!  For three generations it has been a repeat vacation destination for families and fishermen alike.  Little Spider Lake, a 235 acre full recreational lake, is surrounded by the Northern Highland American Legion State Forest, in Vilas County. A quiet and unspoiled county rich in natural resources with an abundance of wildlife, especially beautiful in the spring and fall (non-peak season) when you can escape from the hectic schedule of everyday life for a fishing trip; weekend getaway stay, or group event where lots of space and plenty of sleeping accommodations are needed.  Pride of ownership is evident in the cleanliness of our cabins and grounds and someone is always available to help take care of anything that arises.

A wide variety of activities are available to guests of every age and interest.  Fish for the catch of a lifetime for Musky, Walleye, Northern Pike, or Bass.  Relax and soak up the sun and enjoy our 400' of groomed sandy lakefront with its gradual water depth, perfect for swimming.  Meet with family and friends in the lodge and share stories of the days events. You will be amazed at the scenery and wildlife you can experience by taking a canoe ride along the shorelines or hiking and biking through the miles of state forest trails.  Fishing boats and a Pontoon Boat are available for daily or weekly rental from our fleet of well maintained boats. Paddle Boats and a Canoe are available at no extra charge to our customers.

Only minutes away is the large tourism area of Minocqua/Woodruff and the quaint scenic towns of Boulder Junction, Lake Tomahawk, Saint Germain, and Eagle River.  Water ski shows, amusement parks, horseback riding trails, logging competitions, unique shopping and dining experiences and a popular casino are some other activities you can experience nearby. And for the golfers there are several championship golf courses that are open to the public.

If you've never experienced the beauty of the Northwoods and are considering it for your next vacation, or if you have and are looking to visit again, we hope you will give us a try!
