Welcome to Wihega Resort

on Beautiful Little Spider Lake!

"Scenic Views, Clean Water, Fresh Air, Relaxation, Nature & Wildlife"

A Fishermen and Family Paradise!
Other destinations may beckon but few can beat the classic family summer vacation in the "Northwoods".  Wihega Resort is a pet friendly, family owned, housekeeping resort where "Up North at the Lake" can still be found!  For three generations it has been a repeat vacation destination for fishermen and their families.  Little Spider Lake offers excellent recreational opportunities including fishing for trophy Musky, Walleye, Northern Pike, Bass and panfish. We offer rentals of fishing boats and motors along with a Pontoon Boat rental.  A limited number of boats & motors are available so please request prior to your arrival.  During the summer season weekly boat/motor rentals are only available and require advance reservations.

Wihega Resort is nestled among towering pines, along a protected bay, on one of the most beautiful lakes in Northern Wisconsin.  Bordered by the beautiful Northern Highland American Legion State Forest, it is quiet and unspoiled with an abundance of wildlife.  Especially beautiful in the spring and fall when you can getaway for a fishing trip or long weekend stay and take advantage of discounted non peak rates.

With 400' of level, sandy, lake frontage, it is perfect for swimming with its gradual water depth and all day sun.  You can paddle along the lake shore in our canoe or paddle boats, which are free of charge to our customers, or you can bike or hike the miles of state forest trails right from your doorstep and be amazed by the scenery and wildlife you will see.

For guests of every age and interest, only minutes away is the large tourism area of Minocqua/Woodruff, and the quaint scenic towns of Boulder Junction, Lake Tomahawk, Saint Germain, and Eagle River.   Annual festivals, water ski shows, amusement parks, horseback riding trails, logging competitions, unique shopping and dining experiences and a popular casino are just some of the attractions you can experience.  For the golf enthusiasts, there are several championship golf courses that are open to the public.

If you've never experienced the beauty of the Northwoods and are considering it for your next vacation, or if you have and are looking to visit again, we hope you will give us a try!
